The Finnish firm has decided to get its claws out and compare its Lumia 925 with Apple's popular iPhone 5. Specifically, the ad details how, in various different situations, the Nokia captures superior content to its rival.
"Every day, more photos are taken on the iPhone than on any other phone," the ad says to begin, quoting Apple's current TV advertising campaign, "But at Nokia, we prefer to build for quality, not just quantity."
The Lumia 925 has an 8.7Mp PureView camera compared the iPhone 5's 8Mp. Nokia compares action shots, results with the use of a flash and low-light situations without a flash.
We agree, certainly in low-light situations. "Its 8.7 Mp has an unusually large 0.33in sensor which should help low-light shots – and as we found, it could edge out an iPhone here in darker scenes, with brighter-looking images." we said in our Lumia 925 review.
Nokia tries to put emphasis on quality over quantity by ending with: "Every day, better photos are taken with Nokia Lumias, than with any other mobile."
The video comes a few weeks after another Lumia 925 ad branded iPhone users as zombies who were blown out by the smartphone's flash.
The advert is for the Nokia Lumia 925 rather than the recently announced Lumia 1020 which arguably has the most advanced photography equipment on-board a smartphone to date. A 41Mp sensor is just the start.
