A 17-year-old Dutch scally has been arrested for stealing from a hotel. So far so traditional. But this particular oik has been picked up by the filth for nicking €4,000 worth of, er, virtual furniture.
The crime - for which three other teenagers are under suspiscion - involved hacking into the accounts of community members at the virtual Habbo Hotel. In what must be a candidate for pointless hack of the month, the cheeky young followers of e-Fagin swiped items of virtual furniture to put in their own 'rooms'.
For the uninitiated (which recently included me) Habbo Hotel is a virtual, well, hotel. Members create Avatars, get rooms and then furnish them with items that cost actual, genuine cash. Kids today, eh?
