Ever bought a technology product and decided the experts got it wrong? That laptop you've been using for the past six months has a key feature the magazine reviews didn't pick up on, while the security suite that shipped with is was actually better at protecting your system than that cynical journalist claimed? Now you have the opportunity to let the world know.
We've redesigned the reviews section on PC Advisor, adding functionality that allows you to submit your own review of any of the products that have passed through our test centre over the years. Click on a review and at the bottom you'll see the new 'Add your own review' feature allowing you to rate that product out of five. You can outline the product's strengths and weaknesses, and then provide an overall evaluation. Click here to see one of the first user reviews from an eagle-eyed forum member who spotted the new functionality earlier this week.
You must be a registered user of techadvisor.co.uk (for those who aren't already, registration takes just a couple of minutes), but apart from that anyone can submit their own review on any product. We want to encourage as many people as possible to provide feedback – so get reviewing!
While you're on the new reviews section, you'll see a new layout with links at the top of the page taking you straight to the product category you're interested in. Each category can be ordered by price, rating and product name. We hope you enjoy the new features and, as ever, let us know what you think. Is there any way we can improve the functionality of the reviews section to better suit your needs?
