Over two third of Brits cite connection reliability as the most important factor when it comes to broadband packages, says Broadbandchoices.co.uk.

Research by the broadband comparison website revealed that 30 percent of broadband users said the speed of their connection was the important aspect of their internet access, while nearly a quarter said value for money was a top priority.

Broadbandchoices also said that nearly half of all Brits (47 percent) didn't think their ISP had fulfilled its promises with 70 percent saying they were disappointed with their connection speed. Of those Brits lodged a complaint with their ISP over their broadband service, 55 percent said they felt it did not reach a successful resolution.

Michael Phillips, product director of Broadbandchoices.co.uk, said: "It is surprising to see that broadband users valued connection reliability ahead of value for money, customer service and even speed of broadband connection."

"The main reason for dissatisfaction is overwhelmingly because of broadband speed, demonstrating that ISPs are still falling short when it comes to meeting their customer's expectations after advertising unattainable headline speeds in the media."
