Deadly Premonition was certainly a memorable game, whatever you ended up thinking of it. Featuring one of the best protagonists in recent memory coupled with some interesting design choices and open-world gameplay, its shoddy graphics and bizarre storyline drove some people away while drawing others in.
From July 5, European players who missed out on grabbing a retail copy will be able to download the game from the Xbox Live Games on Demand marketplace. The game is published by different companies in the US and Europe -- Ignition Entertainment in the US, Rising Star Games in Europe. We've contacted Ignition to see whether it has any plans to release the title to the North American marketplace but haven't heard back from them at the time of writing.
"Deadly Premonition is a quirky and unique title we are proud to have published," said Martin Defries, managing director of EU publisher Rising Star Games. "We knew there was an audience for the title and we delivered them the game they wanted. Now Deadly Premonition is [coming to] Games on Demand, it will give even more people a chance to marvel at this completely individual title and decide for themselves what they think of the most controversial title of 2010."
We'll update this story if and when we hear back from Ignition regarding a US release.
