Fujitsu has extended its Distributed Computing Central Services (DCCS) contract for a further 12 months with the Australian Department of Defence.
The extension option forms part of a long term contract that was market tested by department in 2009.
Under the contract, Fujitsu provides more than 450 personnel to an extensive range of core and project services within the department's Chief Information Officers Group (CIOG).
This includes IT service desk; server and desktop operations; network watch function; email and groupware operations; applications and Information Technology Service Management tool support and process functions; project office functions; FISSO (Navy ICT) specific services; up to June 2014.
"The mutual success of our relationship over the past 15 years is set to continue as we invest further in building our local skillsets and service portfolio to meet the specific needs of the Department," Fujitsu Australia group executive director for federal government, Glen Grant, said in a statement.
