The Sainsbury's Entertainment channel has launched on Roku players giving users even more choice with what to stream to their TV. See: Best media streamers you can buy.
Sainsbury's Entertainment is a rival to Tesco-owned Blinkbox and is a free channel available from the Roku Store in the UK for devices including the Roku Streaming Stick. The service, like others offers movies and TV series to buy or rent and users can spend and collect Nectar points on purchases.
"Today, Sainsbury’s launched the Sainsbury’s Entertainment channel on the Roku platform, giving you access to loads of content to keep you and your family entertained this Christmas season," said Roku in a blog post.
Movies available on Sainsbury's Entertainment include X-Men: Days of Future Past, 22 Jump Street and Earth to Echo while TV series on offer include House of Cards, Breaking Bad and The Big Band Theory. See also: Netflix vs Amazon Prime Instant Video.
Sainsbury's Entertainment is also available on PC, Mac, Xbox 360, iOS, Apple TV via AirPlay and Android devices. Roku has a large amount of channels available for its media streamers including BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Now TV, Sky Store, ITV Player, 4OD, Google Play and Demand 5.
