Commodore is back, and those who remember the brand from the late eighties will be pleased to hear it's sticking to its game-playing roots.

The top-end Commodore PC includes a quad-core Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, 4GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card – more than enough to run today's demanding titles. But there's an entry-level model too, and four systems in total, many of which will be available with flashy, custom-designed cases.

Commodore Gaming chief executive Bala Keilman said: “We wanted to bring something new to the market, in the spirit of our Commodore heritage, and have worked hard to design a fully personalised product."

Each machine runs the 64-bit version of Windows Vista. There are no pricing details as yet.
