Gateway, the retro PC brand that withdrew from the UK market in 2001, is re-launching with the help of Acer.

Acer acquired the brand name earlier this year and plans to re-introduce Gateway branded laptops and desktops into the UK business market from March this year.

According to Gateway, the NO20, NO50 and NS50 are solid and robust machines with a magnesium alloy casing and Intel Core 2 Duo processors. The N20 is a 12.1in laptop while the NO50 and NS50 both benefit from a 15.4in display.

All three machines run Windows Vista Business and feature a 500GB SATA hard drive, wireless connectivity and a fingerprint reader for extra security. The machines also come with a DVD drive, five-in-one card reader, three USB ports, a webcam and Microsoft Office 2007, which comes bundled with the laptop.

There will also be three desktops available that feature Quad Core 2 Duo processors along with 14in and 22in LCD monitors. Further spec and pricing details have yet to be released.
