BT has announced a new line-up of fibre optic broadband deals including the first six months for free and a price cut thereafter.
The telecoms firm now offers Infinity 1, it's most affordable fibre package, at £15 per month with nothing to pay for the first half a year on an 18 month contract. This means a price cut from £17.50 per month and the package, along with others, comes with free BT Sport and a BT Home Hub 5 router.
David McDonald, director of broadband, TV and Sport Bundles at BT, said: "Consumers have been given another broadband boost today, with the launch of BT Infinity 1, free fibre optic for the first 6 months. BT Infinity lets you do more of the things you like online, all at the same time as other people in your home. These deals not only offer a fabulous broadband experience but when combined with free BT Sport also offer amazing value."
BT Infinity 1 offers consumers download speeds of up 38 Mbps and a 20 GB usage limit. Those not wanting a data limit can opt for Unlimited Infinity 1 which is £10.50 per month for six months then £23 per month. All of BT's broadband packages come with a free Sainsbury's gift card worth £25 or £50.
The firm continues to wage war with rivals such as Sky and Virgin Media in home entertainment and fighting its corner is a combination of the YouView box and BT Sport which continues to be free for broadband customers. BT is offering Infinity and TV for £5 per month for the first six months.
