Pismo File Mount Audit Package is a simple tool which can mount ZIP, ISO, CISO, CFS, ISZ, DAA and PFO files as virtual drives in Windows Explorer.
You can, of course, do something like this already. Explorer can already browse ZIP files as though they were folders, while in Windows 8 right-clicking an ISO image, then selecting Mount, allows you to browse it as a virtual drive.
Pismo File Mount Audit Package does offer more control, though. We tried mapping a ZIP file, and were able to assign a drive letter, choose an access mode (Read, or Read/ Write), decide who could see the drive (just us, or the entire system), and more. Once we'd clicked Mount, our file appeared as a virtual drive in Explorer, and we could access it like any other.
What's more, the program doesn't require administrative rights to work. And its support for some less common formats could also prove occasionally useful.
New portable graphical installer for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Support for local-drive-type mounts on Windows and Mac.
Linux kernel version 4.5 compatibility.
Pismo File Mount Audit Package is a relatively basic tool, but it's easy to use and supports mounting a range of formats. If you need a simpler way to access its archives and images then we'd give it a try.
